Legends of Chelyabinsk Music project
In the summer of 2010 my old friend from Chelyabinsk (Russia) Roman Gribanov has produced a double CD of Ural's musicians covering songs of two Chelyabinsk's legendary bands Ariel and Rezinovyi Dedushka. I was very honored that he remembered me and offered me to also record a track for this great project, involving such established musicians as Chaif, Oleg Mityaev, Tomas, Vozvraschenie, and many others, including Ariel and Rezinovyj Dedushka themselves. I chose Rezinovyi Dedushka's song Sonya Krivaja. Unfortunately, by the deadline, my version was still pretty raw, so Roman decided to save it by giving it for a remake to a famous Chelyabinsk DJ Kid Digital. Besides Roman and Kid Digital, I want to thank Tania Sokolov for back vocal, and Arthur Nascimento for playing drums. Here is the link to the Legends of Chelyabinsk Music project. Roman has decided to use my old band's name Pustye Hlopoty. So here it is:
Sonya Krivaya recorded by me and remixed by Kid Digital (2010):
Almost a year later I finally found time to finish my own version, and here is the result:

Nuclear Boots
In spring through fall of 2009, I played guitar in a cover band Nuclear Boots. We played songs by The Cars, most of which we learned during Steve Levitt's Floating Rock Ensemble class at OTSFM in Jan-Feb 2009, and some other songs from the 80's.
Nuclear Boots shows:
November 6, 2009; The Mutiny, 2428 N. Western Ave., Chicago, IL; 9-10pm;
August 28, 2009; The Hidden Cove, 5336 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago, IL; 7pm; (with Number Nine) [ VIDEO ]

Old Town School of Folk Music
I enjoy taking ensemble classes at Old Town School of Folk Music (OTSFM). Some of the classes that I took (since 2007): Acoustic Zeppelin, Grateful Dead (Ace), ZZ Top, Beatles (White Album 2, Please, Please Me), Floating Rock, The Cars, Derek and the Dominos (Layla), Eric Clapton (Unplugged), Radiohead.
With Alex Kozhevnikov
In 2008 I had a pleasure of playing each-other songs with Alex Kozhevnikov. He helped me to get started with home recording, and he helped with second guitar and back vocals on this home recorded demo version of my song Poslednii Solnechnyi Den (The Last Summer Day)
Pustye Hlopoty
In 1993-96 in Chelyabinsk, Russia, I was singing and playing guitar in a band Pustye Hlopoty (Useless Troubles). We played mostly my originals and a lot of our best performances happened at the Chelyabinsk State University's rock club Minautavr. On average, we were performing once a month -that was a very fun time! We made some very poor quality home recordings and I hope to be able to re-record them one day.

Yuri Naumov's music
One of my greatest influences in music is Yuri Naumov. In 1997, I had an honor to meet him in person and organized a series of his concerts at GWU.
